About Us
MotorCats Ltd is a family run business based in Emsworth, Hampshire and is the sole distributor for motorised catamarans in the UK and parts of Europe.
Director, Victor Aspey, has 25 years' experience in the marine industry. His early interest led him to a BSc (Hons) in Maritime Studies and an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor (Ocean) qualification working on the South Coast. His diverse experience includes skippering a catamaran trans-Atlantic, running an RYA school and charter operation in both yachts and motorboats, and working worldwide aboard yachts of all types. He was Sales Director at Moody Yachts International, and became heavily involved in marketing the big French catamarans within the UK. In 2003, he set up MotorCats Ltd. He continues to teach RYA sailing courses.
MotorCats Ltd came about as the result of Victor's global search for a particular craft which could make boating fun and hassle free. Any experienced boat owner will tell you that safety; seaworthiness; fuel economy; comfort; shallow draft; manoeuvrability and accommodation are all important features to consider, so Victor found a boat type which met all these requirements.
